Benefits Check Up exists to help the millions of older Americans who are eligible for public and private benefits, but not receiving them. Many older people need help paying for prescription drugs, health care, utilities and other basic needs. Ironically, millions of older Americans (especially those with limited incomes) are eligible for but not receiving benefits from existing federal, state and local programs. Ranging from heating and energy assistance to prescription drug savings programs to income supplements, there are many public programs available to seniors in need if they only knew about them and how to apply for them. Benefits Check Up is the nation’s most comprehensive web based service to screen for benefits programs for seniors with limited income and resources. Benefits Check Up includes more than 1,350 public and private benefits programs from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. 708-383-0258 | 708-524-1653 (TTY) 800-252-8966 | 888-206-1327 (TTY) 312-744-4016 - Chicago Residents Better Business Bureau of Metro Chicago 312-832-0500 Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) A Federally funded program, which works to improve the health of low income individuals by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity foods.
