Legal Care for Loved One Who Has Special Needs How families plan for their loved ones can make a difference in their quality of life. Inadequate planning can cause loved ones to lose eligibility for critical public benefits and government programs. This presentation will explain how to plan correctly, and completely to help ensure quality of life, preserve public benefit eligibility, guardianship and much more. CC51 Guardianship and Advance Directives Learn about the different types of guardianships, when it is appropriate to have the court step in, and how a guardian can protect and manage an older adults’ estate. CC52 1.0 Nurse, SW, NHA Intimacy, Sex, and Dementia Intimacy and sex are a part of who we are as humans and for many this does not diminish with age or change in cognition. When does sexual relationships and intimacy cross the boundaries for those living with dementia. Human touch is important, but when a person is unable to give consent ethics becomes the hot topic. Defining implicit bias, explicit bias and other terminology related to culture and inclusion this program will help you understand why we all carry bias with us, where we learned it and how we can be more inclusive and work for equal outcomes for all our patients regardless of their culture.
