Prince Home at Manteno Illinois Dept. of Veterans’ Affairs One Veterans Dr. Manteno, IL 60950 815-468-6581 ext. 214 www2.illinois.gov/veterans/homes/ Pages/homes-facilities.aspx A program for homeless and disabled veterans co-located with the Veterans’ Home in Manteno. Provides housing and support services for homeless Illinois veterans, helping them cope with many issues.

VETERAN FITNESS PROGRAM NISRA (Northern IL Special Recreation Association) facilitates a free program for veteran service members who qualify by having an Honorable Discharge & at least a 10% disability rating or post service injury/illness equivalent. Qualified veterans receive, at no charge: one year fitness membership for the veteran & a partner at a park district fitness center (currently Cary, Dundee Township, Huntley or Wauconda) or McHenry County College, 15 personal training sessions with a qualified trainer, and monthly networking/social events. Cary Park District includes: fitness center, strength/cardio rooms, pool membership, fitness classes at free/ discounted rate. Huntley Park District includes: fitness center, towel service, fitness equipment orientation, open gym, fitness assessment, discounted fitness classes.

Anna Veterans’ Home The Adjutant Illinois Veterans Home 792 N. The home has a 50 bed nursing care capacity and twelve beds in six adjoining apartment-style domiciliary units. They provide care for up to 184 veterans, to include 40 special needs veterans. Manteno Veterans’ Home The Adjutant Illinois Veterans Home 1 Veterans Dr. Manteno, IL 60950 815-468-6581 ext. 226 www2.illinois.gov/veterans/homes/ Pages/Manteno.aspx Comprised of five major nursing care units and two ancillary services and support buildings. They provide care for up to 294 skilled care and special needs veterans.

Wauconda Park District: fitness center, open gym.

Dundee Township Park District includes Rakow Center & Randall Oaks Recreation Center Rakow Center: fitness center, indoor pool, sauna, whirlpool, indoor track, discounted racquetball fees, land group exercise classes. Randall Oaks Recreation Center: fitness center, member only locker rooms, indoor track, land group exercise classes.
