This organization provides a day program where members “report to work” in the morning and choose a task based on their abilities and goals. Engaging in such activity helps the individual relearn skills and regain self esteem. Members may also participate in wellness programs including exercise and nutrition initiatives, and baking activities in their Flour to Empower Bakery. This program is for adults with acquired brain injury. This includes traumatic injuries such as car accidents or falls, stroke, brain tumors, epilepsy, infections of the brain, aneurysms, anoxic brain injuries such as those resulting from cardiac arrest or near drowning, and progressive diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis or early onset of dementia.
