Depression and Dementia In this presentation, we will review dementia, and define depression. Learn how they often co-exist. Learn to differentiate between depression dementia and delirium, as well as strategies to work well when the Person you care for is diagnosed with both. DC15 1.0 Nurse, SW, NHA Mental health and Dementia-When Worlds Collide To effectively help a person living with dementia and a mental illness you need to understand signs and symptoms of both, treatment options and the dynamics of caring for those with a dual diagnosis.
